Planning is under way for the 2012 St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival
The 46th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival is scheduled for March 16-18 in downtown Henderson, 200 S. Water St.
Once again, proceeds from the event will be donated to St. Baldrick's. The Sons of Erin plan to host a head-shaving fundraiser for St. Baldrick's at 1 p.m. March 17 after the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Members of the public are invited to join or donate to our team or form their own teams.
The parade, which is one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in the United States, will kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, along Water Street in downtown Henderson. This year's theme is Wearin' O' the Green, and trophies will be awarded for Best of Theme, Greenest, Prettiest and Most Original.
After the parade, the Hustlers Car Club will set up a car show on Water Street in front of the Henderson Events Plaza. The club plans to raffle an engine and is selling tickets for $5.
And, once again, the festival will feature carnival rides, games, live entertainment, food and more!

If Joe raises $1,000, he'll shave his head for charity. So far, about $500 has been raised.
Join us in March
Our next meeting is at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at McMullan’s Irish Pub, 4650 W. Tropicana Ave., just west of The Orleans. This is the last meeting before St. Patrick's Day, so please be sure to attend if you'd like to volunteer at the parade and festival.

Members of the Southern Nevada Sons of Erin are eligible to join the Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union, which recently opened a branch at 8660 W. Cheyenne Ave.
